Services offered: postpartum doula care
I am thrilled to live among and serve families in the Upper Valley community as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and new parenthood. I believe in informed support for birth and postpartum and strive to build authentic relationships with my clients, allowing them to feel safe, cared for, and heard through our time together. I am trained through DONA International and am currently working toward full certification.
My work as a doula walks hand in hand with my goals to provide holistic and grounded care to families who are welcoming a new member. I currently offer full spectrum postpartum support. This support includes light housework, childcare for siblings, newborn care education and support, and breastfeeding education and support. I also offer placenta encapsulation services. I welcome families of all incomes by offering sliding scale or bartering and welcome single parents, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ families.
I would be honored to be welcomed into the fold of your life and support your transition into the postpartum period. Please feel welcome to reach out with any questions or inquiries.

Luci Tarr

Services offered: birth doula care, postpartum doula care
I find it incredibly challenging to describe the depth of meaning behind being a doula. Pregnancy and the birth experience moves me - it is nothing short of a miracle. The opportunity to be with a family, however defined, during such an intimate and progressive moment in life, is a gift. As a doula, I will help bring forth the needs and desires of the family to guide them through to the moment their baby is born. I am passionate about supporting the miracle and embracing the gift.
Now, let me take a moment to introduce myself. I am Luci Tarr, a doula supporting the birth experience throughout the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. I value the bond of family and the emotion and strength that lives within that bond. I believe it allows me to provide the utmost care and support in all situations. No matter what your birth plan might be, natural or medically supported, I believe that the continuous support of a doula helps birthing women and their partners have the experience they desire.
I welcome the opportunity to speak with you and answer any questions that you may have.

Iris Mok

(310)384-8272
Services offered: postpartum care, lactation stimulation and belly binding
My name is Iris Mok and I am a postpartum doula. I immigrated from Hong Kong to the US 30 years ago and I have been living with my husband and two daughters in West Lebanon since 1996. Swimming and yoga are my favorite hobbies and I adore working with children. My career began when I worked for School Administrative District #88 in Lebanon in the Beginning Preschool Program as a Paraprofessional & Chinese International Student Interpreter from 2001 to 2016.
After spending the past 10 years supporting many Chinese immigrants and Dartmouth College Chinese International students after they gave birth, I realized that postpartum support is desperately needed for new parents. After my daughters left for college and I became an empty nester, I traveled back to Hong Kong frequently to visit my relatives. While I was there, I noticed a huge demand for postpartum care and enrolled in the Postpartum Doula certification course. I decided to get certified and began my professional career as a postpartum doula. I also received my certifications in Lactation Stimulation, Herbal Healing Nutrition and Abdomen Binding, which are very beneficial for postpartum moms. After completing the certifications, I began my professional career with my first client in Los Angeles two years ago and returned to the Upper Valley in May 2020 to continue my journey as a postpartum doula.
I believe that with my wealth of knowledge, compassion, thoughtfulness, experience and care, I am able to wholeheartedly support all moms and their partners as they welcome their beautiful newborn babies into their lives.

Services offered: Birth doula care
Laura is an experienced certified birth doula providing evidence-based and compassionate support to her clients (and partner, if applicable). Laura's services are inclusive to all people and she is passionate about ensuring every birth giver feels cared for, respected, and heard. Laura enjoys connecting with people one-on-one, helping couples bond through the pregnancy and birth experience, and providing comfort and support in the postpartum period so families can thrive.
She recently settled in the Upper Valley with her family (partner, two young kids, and two tabby cats who are good boys) and is thrilled to call this place home. In addition to doula work, Laura works as an independent consultant providing expertise to communities, organizations, governments, and businesses on evidence-based health and social solutions to prevent violence, advance gender equality, and improve health outcomes and wellbeing for all.
Laura recognizes that the birth experience is one that stays with you, regardless of how it happens. Having had the privilege to support people in labor and birth, and also have the invaluable support of a doula for the births of her own children, she knows the difference such support and expertise can bring. She is also lead editor for an upcoming book (coming out 2023, published by Praeclarus Press) entitled An anthology of Canadian birth stories: Inspiring stories and essential guidance for parents, parents-to-be, and health providers. The book may focus on the Canadian context (where Laura used to live), but it is still a valuable addition for expectant families and birth health providers in the Upper Valley!

Kayla Brookins
kayla.m.brookins@gmail.com
215-279-2558
Services Offered: birth doula care, postpartum doula care, peer lactation counseling
My name is Kayla, and I have been studying and preparing for birth work since 2017. While I initially wanted to work with birthing people as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), after my first semester of nursing school, I knew the clinical route was not for me. I truly and deeply believe in physiologic birth: that your body knows how to birth, it was built to birth, that no one knows better than you how to birth your baby. My goal as your doula is to encourage you to listen and follow the guidance coming from within yourself and from your baby to have the most empowered birthing experience and introduction to parenthood possible. I feel deeply called to this work, and I would be honored to walk with you on your pregnancy and postpartum journeys.
I offer packages to support you through pregnancy and labor, the first month postpartum, and extended postpartum beyond the first forty days.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please reach out to schedule a free consultation.
